thebigword awarded new Disability Confident certification

Global language technology company thebigword has been awarded the Disability Confident Employer Level 2 certification for the next 3 years.

This updated certification shows the recognition of thebigword’s inclusive and accessible recruitment process.

This includes communicating vacancies through a range of channels, offering interviews to disabled people if they meet the minimum criteria for a job and proactively offering and making reasonable adjustments as required.

thebigword are also delighted to commit to a number of activities which will be actioned over the next three years, including:

  1. Providing apprenticeships
  2. Providing an environment that is inclusive and accessible for all staff, clients and customers
  3. Including disability awareness equality training in inductions
  4. Guiding staff to information and advice on mental health conditions
  5. Providing occupational health services if required

The Disability Confident Employer scheme supports employers to make the most of the talents disabled people can bring to a workplace.
